LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) — Most Veterans Day parades are held on Saturday throughout the country. Here in Colorado, several cities actually held it on Veterans Day, including Alamosa, Durango, Longmont and Loveland.
At the Loveland event, planes were flying, crowds were cheering, and lots of bells were ringing.

“To me, it’s the day that’s designated for veterans. That’s the day we should celebrate it,“ said Tony Abbott of American Legion Post 2000.
Thousands of spectators cheered at parade floats of just about every design.
“My dad served in, joined up, I think it was 1942 right after Pearl Harbor,” said Paul Bukowski.
He drove his World War II jeep to be in the parade and to think about his father who served during the war.
“Oh absolutely. How can you not? We are losing so many of these guys every day.“ Said Bukowski.
United States Air Force veteran Neal Vickrey, Major, Ret. was there wearing a World War II Army Air Force uniform.
