According to a November 11 report from The-Sun.com, the Aldi store shuttered with scant notice this past Sunday, November 10, angering residents and city officials alike.
As excerpted from the report, addressing concerns as posted on Facebook by Alderman of Chicago’s 21st Ward Ronnie Mosley, who claimed the retailer “turned its back on West Pullman” after previously assuring him the location would remain: “Just a year ago, I met with representatives of Aldi about their 821 W. 115th St. location. They assured our community that they were here to stay, that they intended to remodel and potentially expand.”
