Scottsdale, Tempe and Phoenix were named among the best college cities in the nation in a recent WalletHub study. The ranking aimed to pinpoint which U.S. cities offer college students the most affordable cost of living, good academic and work opportunities, and a fun social environment. WalletHub analysts compared more than 400 U.S. cities of varying sizes based on 31 key indicators, ranging from housing costs and crime rates to the quality of higher education in the city.
