Home Depot Foundation commits $10 million for veteran housing

The Home Depot Foundation has announced a $10 million commitment to support accessible and stable housing for aging veterans. The goal of the funding is to help aging veterans avoid homelessness-research from the University of Pennsylvania indicates that homelessness among individuals aged 65 and older will reach its peak by 2030, with veterans being disproportionately affected. This latest commitment will fund the creation of over 230 new or refurbished rental units, more than 125 urgent home repairs for low-income veteran families, rental or mortgage assistance to over 270 veterans, and 400 home adaptations and critical home repairs.
