WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are investigating two separate shootings that left two men hurt.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the first shooting happened in the 5400 block of 4th St. in Northwest D.C. There, officers found a man who had been shot in the lower body.

He was taken to the hospital conscious and breathing.
The second shooting happened in Northeast D.C. at around 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Benning Road. There, officers found a man who had been shot.
He was taken to the hospital conscious and breathing.
MPD said to look out for a man who fled the area in a black SUV.
