San Diego, CA – A low-pressure system moving through Southern California is bringing isolated light showers to coastal areas, valleys, and mountains tonight. While the rain is expected to dissipate by early Tuesday morning, gusty winds are already picking up in the mountains and desert regions, with winds reaching 40 to 50 mph in some passes.
By Tuesday, the system will move east, clearing out clouds and showers as offshore winds kick in. Winds will remain breezy, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph in mountain slopes and the Inland Empire.
Expect fair and warmer conditions by mid-week, with weak offshore winds bringing dry, pleasant weather for Wednesday and Thursday. However, the weekend could bring cooler, cloudier, and potentially wetter conditions.
