MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — As another sign of growth in Mt. Juliet, the city recently decided it needed a full-time attorney on board.
City leaders told News 2 the booming population and increased legal matters they’ve experienced led them to realize that they needed an in-house attorney to keep up. They landed on Nashville’s Samantha Burnett to fill the position.
“A city like Mt. Juliet that is growing in population, that is adding many new businesses all the time, adding industrial small businesses, tons of households as well, at of course a responsible rate, a lot of legal matters come up, so it’s perfect for her right now to be able to handle that workload, and she’s certainly going to have it, because in the City of Mt. Juliet, there’s no such thing as a slow day,” said Justin Beasley, communications director for the City of Mt. Juliet.
