SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A man was killed as a result of an early morning collision on Highway 78, the Charleston County Coroner’s Office announced.
36-year-old Tevin Raysor of Summerville died from blunt force injuries after the incident, Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal said.
The collision occurred at 10482 Highway 78 near Poplar Grove Place at 5:11 a.m. Tuesday. Raysor died minutes later at 5:33 a.m. after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck.
The roadway was shut down for several hours as authorities remained on the scene.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is the lead investigating agency.
