IMPD searching for Carmel man charged with battery

INDIANAPOLIS — Indy police homicide units are asking the public for help in finding a Hamilton County man wanted for battery.

Elijah Miller, 24, of Carmel, has been charged in Marion County with Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon – a Level 5 felony.

There is now an active warrant for Miller’s arrest, IMPD confirmed Tuesday. A photo of Miller, provided by IMPD on Tuesday, can be seen below:

Online court records show that Miller was first charged with the felony on Oct. 30 in Marion Superior Court 20. An arrest warrant was issued the same day.

Two days later, on Nov. 1, attorneys representing Miller filed a motion to recall the warrant. That motion was then denied on Nov. 4 by Judge Jennifer P. Harrison.

No information regarding Miller’s charge was immediately provided by IMPD. If convicted, Miller would face 1-6 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
