( WJET/WFXP )– A New York family has been left without a home after a fire broke out Monday evening in Chautauqua County.
Calls first went out for the blaze at 5:16 p.m. Monday evening in the 2900 block of Riverside Roade in the Town of Busti with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office being called in to investigate the cause.

After investigating, police said the fire started near a pellet stove on the building’s first floor due to one of the stove’s vent pipes failing.
Thankfully, nobody was injured in the fire however police said there were safety concerns with the building and an emergency demolition had to be done.

Ashville, Busti, Frewsburg, Kiantone, and Lakewood Fire Departments all assisted with putting out the fire.
