The Aldi grocery company has announced two new locations coming to Louisiana. Headquartered in Batavia, Illinois, the company operates over 2,400 locations nationwide. These two new stores in the Bayou State will bring the total there to 17. Here are the details on the two future locations:
The new Baton Rouge store will bring the total in that city to four, while Metairie will have two locations. No grand opening date has been announced yet, the only indication on timing is “coming soon.”
The Aldi stores are noted for their innovative ways in tamping down costs. Among the strategies they use towards that end:
- 90% of Aldi products are private label
- They stock their products in the shipping boxes they arrived at the store in
- The customer bags their own order
- Customers leave a quarter deposit for the cart they use, ensuring it is returned
What do you think?
