APPLETON – Despite changing owners since its opening in 1991, Stuc’s Pizza in Appleton guarantees it’s been using the same homemade recipes for its meals since the start.
Although the restaurant, 110 N. Douglas St., sells other Italian cuisine like calzones, subs and pasta, it is best known for its handmade pizzas.
“Our main focus is obviously pizza, it’s been our claim to fame,” owner Erik Anderson said. “We’ve got Chicago style, thin crust, hand tossed and a number of different specialty-type pizzas.”
Post-Crescent reader Mary Kuen, who’s favorite meal from Stuc’s are the calzones, said the quality ingredients are what keep her coming back to the restaurant.
“The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced and their sauce is out of this world,” Kuen said.
Kuen was among the first Appleton Post-Crescent readers to respond to a request for readers’ Best Bites in the Appleton and Green Bay areas. Every two weeks, we’ll highlight another eatery or dish readers say is worthy of praise. To submit your best bites, contact us at the information listed below.
