Unfortunately, one chicken restaurant in this category – a Church’s in St. Petersburg, Florida – was recently temporarily shut down after a state inspection.

About Church’s In Florida: This eatery’s website says that it serves the “authentically unique flavor of Texas” and has been doing so for seven decades. (This may be why it is being rebranded as Church’s Texas Chicken.)

The location in question, at 2195 34 St South in St. Petersburg, earns mixed reviews – 3.5 out of 5 stars.
