Dallas, Texas – After years of waiting, H-E-B is at last poised to provide Dallas its renowned Central Market experience from a prime site at the intersection of McKinney and Lemmon avenues. Once home to an Albertsons, this long-vacant site will soon become a high-end grocery shop marking Central Market’s 11th store in Texas.
Emphasizing community involvement and culinary experiences, the upmarket grocery store—known for its gourmet selections and distinctive shopping environment—promises an innovative approach on the Dallas grocery scene.
Apart from providing a venue for grocery shopping, the new Central Market will also serve as a hub for the neighborhood. H-E-B claims that the store’s design calls for an open-concept culinary school and more parking spread over two levels.
This cooking school will function as a community venue enabling local events and neighborhood meetings. In addition, a stage in the café area is planned to host live performances, adding to the vibrant ambiance that Central Market is known for. These qualities show Central Market’s dedication to transforming this site into a gathering spot instead of being a grocery shop.
