Thursday will be chilly behind the cold front. Lingering clouds will keep temperatures coolest up near Lake of the Ozarks where highs will be in the upper 50s. Friday looks comfortable after some patchy morning frosty.
The weekend will feature a gradual increase in temperatures and cloud cover as a pair of storm systems move past the Ozarks on Sunday and Monday.
Rain chances Sunday night into Monday are slim but stray showers are expected, mainly to the north. Heavier and more widespread rain will move in later in the day Monday as the second storm moves through the middle of the country.
This second storm will likely pave the way to a pattern change that will usher in the coldest weather of the fall so far. Highs later next week may only be in the 40s with morning freezes possible.
