Madison man arrested after crashing into parked cars, house

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a man Friday who they said crashed into two parked cars and a house downtown.

The crashes occurred in the 600 block of East Johnson Street at around 8:10 a.m. Nobody was hurt.

Madison Police Department spokesperson Stephanie Fryer said the driver, a 25-year-old Madison man, tried to stash prescription drugs near the crash scene. He was arrested and faces charges of possessing and illegally obtaining prescription drugs, and was cited for operating while intoxicated.

News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy .
