ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — A food truck, stolen from Commerce City over the weekend, was recovered Wednesday after the owners spotted it just three miles from where it was stolen and called authorities.
Martha Gonzalez and Luis Galvez say one of their El Lechon food trucks was stolen from near 104th Avenue and Highway 2, and they believed they spotted it near 104 Avenue and Brighton Road. It was covered, but they could see enough to believe it was theirs.

They called the Adams County Sheriff’s Office who came out and confirmed, it was one of theirs. “Oh my God, I’m so excited,” said Martha Gonzalez when she heard the news.
It was quite a relief, but there was a lot of damage to deal with.
When the sheriff’s office released the truck to the family it had been painted, it was a mess inside and some items were missing.
“I know sometimes people steal the food trucks and take the equipment down and sell it and make a little money for it,” Gonzalez said.
