Tragically, human remains are reported often enough to be unsettling.
Human Tragedies
On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, a human head washed ashore on Key Biscayne. According to Miami-Dade Police, a beach worker was raking the popular tourist beach near the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. and found the remains.
Key Biscayne responded to the worker’s call and confirmed that the head was human. Miami-Dade Police were notified and an investigation is underway. The medical examiner’s office is tasked with finding the identity of the person and the manner of death.
The remains appear to be a male and the case is not considered a homicide investigation at this point. All angles are possible including a missing person, an accident, or homicide.
