Maryland faces over $1 billion budget gap, could reach $2.7 billion by 2027

BALTIMORE, Md. (WBFF) – A new report shows a widening budget gap for the state of Maryland. The report shows structural deficits and cash deficits of more than $1 billion in the current year with that gap widening to more than $2.7 billion in fiscal years 2026 and 2027.
