At a university where they teach history, Florida Gulf Coast University will make some history Friday on its Fort Myers campus. FGCU will make history by hosting the largest-ever “Disaster Day Interprofessional Simulation” event in Southwest Florida. During this all-day training exercise, more than 300 students from Marieb College of Health & Human Services will learn from faculty and local first responders on how best to assess, diagnose, treat and care for patients in a high-pressure emergency scenario.
