Cooler and less humid through the weekend

The cold front has blown through and means a break from the record and near record high temperatures we’ve seen lately across Southeast Louisiana.

“The next few mornings will be cooler in the 40s and 50s, but afternoons will be lovely in the low to mid 70s. Expect a lot of sunshine lasting into Sunday,” WWL TV Meteorologist Payton Malone forecasts.

He says there’s no rain in the forecast through Monday, but the heat will come back.

“Next week we warm up with 80s returning both Monday and Tuesday.”

Malone says, however, a stronger cold front will push morning lows to the 30s and 40s later next week.
