Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) – Richmond Public Schools has announced that a district-wide cell phone ban will begin when students return to classes in January after the holidays.
Back in September, the Virginia Department of Education said districts need to have a ban in place by the start of 2025. At the time, some districts – including Hanover and Petersburg – already had cell phone bans in place going into the school year.
RPS will hold a virtual town hall on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 to discuss the new policies.
