Iowa dominated Toledo, 94-57, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Wednesday night. The Hawkeyes improve to 3-0 this season. Toledo dropped to 1-1.
Iowa led Toledo, 28-10, after one quarter with Hannah Stuelke and Lucy Olsen netting six points a piece. The Hawkeyes put together a 23-2 run to end the opening period, the Rockets scoring two points in the final seven minutes.
The home team built a very comfortable 49-21, halftime lead. Iowa utilized its bench in the second half with 12 players seeing action. That was everybody available.
Stuelke led Iowa with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Olsen and Taylor McCabe added 14 points each. Five Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including Sydney Affolter, who scored 11, grabbed five rebounds, handed out four assists and came up with two steals.
