A crumbling Syracuse mansion will get new life as housing for incoming refugees

Syracuse, N.Y. – A neglected historic property in Syracuse will soon get new life as a home for refugees seeking to build their own new lives in America. Interfaith Works of Central New York is planning to refurbish and open a transitional home around the corner from its North Side offices that will help address a need for client housing that is both affordable and accessible for people with mobility challenges. They plan to call it The Welcome Home.
