It seems that Texas Tech has always been a team in search of a true rivalry. Texas Tech and Texas had a pretty good rivalry going, unfortunately that was kind of a one way street. While Texas Tech fans hated Texas, Texas just thought of Texas Tech as another date on their schedule. Tech has tried to make “The Battle For The Saddle” with TCU a thing, but it doesn’t seem to be something people talk about much. Now we have a real opportunity for a rivalry, but for now, we only play the team every other year.
