SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A motorist is behind bars for what police are calling a “crash-spree” near downtown Sioux Falls early Thursday morning.
Maximum price for new men’s prison set at $825 million
Police responded to a report of a Chevy Traverse hitting another vehicle on the exit ramp of Interstate 229 to Minnesota Ave. The car preceded on Minnesota Avenue crashing into the front doors of a cannabis shop and hitting a digital sign, according to Sgt. Travis Olsen of SFPD.
Over $100,000 in damage occurred during the pursuit. Ashlyann Saathoff, 33, of Sioux Falls was later arrested at Falls Park where she got stuck.
It is unknown the total cost of damage to property, but Olsen said the price is “up in the thousands.”
