(WJW) — As we honor our veterans this week, two former Ohio service members have received a life-changing gift: the keys to a brand-new vehicle. This gesture goes beyond a simple set of keys — it represents a fresh start and a new beginning for those who served.
Today, military veterans across the United States, including two Ohio residents, were awarded vehicles as part of Progressive’s Keys to Progress program. This annual initiative, started in 2013, has become a valuable resource for veterans in need, providing them with reliable transportation as they transition back to civilian life.

This year, nearly 100 veterans and military-related organizations nationwide benefited from the vehicle giveaway. Since its inception, Keys to Progress has donated over 1,100 vehicles to veterans, helping them with the crucial transportation needed to move forward.
Among this year’s Ohio recipients are Vincent McGreal from Akron and Brandon Williams from Strongsville . Both veterans expressed gratitude, saying the gift has a significant impact on their daily lives and future goals.
