Drivers on California’s Highway 101 to face delays because of planned lane closures for miles

This weekend, drivers traveling on US-101 in San Mateo County should expect delays as Caltrans schedules a single-lane closure in both the northbound and southbound directions, from the Santa Clara County line to Whipple Avenue. The closure is part of ongoing maintenance work and will take place this weekend, with additional closures on November 15-18 and November 22-25. These closures were rescheduled due to a cancellation in early November. All work is subject to weather conditions. Be prepared for possible traffic slowdowns and plan accordingly.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan accordingly. All work is weather-dependent, so schedules may change.
