HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – People passing through Christian County to get between Tennessee and Kentucky might notice the welcome center might not be open as long as it previously was.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says out of concern for the safety of motorists, it will be reducing the hours of the Christian County Welcome Center on I-24 near the Kentucky-Tennessee line beginning immediately.
KYTC’s high water report for November 14, 2024
Officials explain due to malfunctioning lighting, the welcome center building, located on I-24 westbound at the 92 mm in Oak Grove, will only be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The rest area parking lot will remain open to motorists, but there will be no restrooms available during overnight hours.
