Bike worth $6,500 stolen from business

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls Police want you to be on the lookout for a brand new blue electric-assist bike.

Over $100k in damage in Thursday morning ‘crash spree’

The thief smashed out a window to get inside a bike shop on Cliff Avenue and 26th Street.

“Evidently some citizen apparently needed a new bicycle more than others and left behind his old bicycle and rode off on a blue electric assist full suspension Trek mountain bike,” said Sgt. Travis Olsen with Sioux Falls Police.

The stolen bike is worth $6,500. There’s also about $7,000 in damage to the business.
