BEATEN FOR SNEAKERS: Boy, 16, attacked by Bronx duo for his shoes

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 16-year-old boy was beaten on a Bronx street by two young robbers who stole his sneakers, police said Friday.

The NYPD released images of the two male suspects they’re after in Tuesday afternoon’s robbery in the Norwood section.

The victim was in front of 3399 Jerome Ave. around 12:20 p.m. when the pair struck him in the face and knocked him down, police said.

As he was on the ground, they repeatedly kicked him and stole his sneakers before fleeing, according to police.

The victim’s condition wasn’t immediately known.
