Around 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 22, Chris Jones, 52, allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he shot his neighbor’s cat with a rifle, saying it was on his property, climbing on his vehicle, and being a nuisance, per a criminal complaint.
A veterinarian’s report showed the gunshot broke the cat’s front leg and punctured its chest cavity, leading to the cat needing to be euthanized.
