COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Good Friday morning! Quieter and calmer conditions across the southeast now that the cold front has swept through the southeast. Temperatures near 50 degrees this morning under clear skies.
Through your Friday, plenty of sunny blue skies will be present with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s by this afternoon.
High pressure builds across the southeast keeping the forecast looking very nice and seasonal for the weekend. Albeit, the mornings will be chilly, the afternoon and early evening will be more seasonal for this time of year.
Afternoon temperatures tick up slowly through the start of next week as we track another strong cold front that will move into the region. This front should arrive Tuesday/Wednesday and possibly bring the remnants of Sara along with it.
Sara was named Thursday and is currently impacting central America as it skirts the coast of Honduras. The forecast track should take the storm towards Belize and then the Yucatan. The storm will not gain much strength after being impacted by land; however, the forecast once it gets into the gulf remains to be seen.
