After clearing a vote by city leaders this week, an experiment to generate new revenue from parking fees at Madison parks is set to begin taking shape early next year. The city’s Parks Division must first develop plans for the pilot program and receive guidance from the Board of Park Commissioners. Then, after residents are given a chance to weigh in on the program, the goal would be to start charging fees at some parks by the middle of 2025.
