Man’s finger bitten off during fight outside OKC gas station

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — A fight outside of a gas station led to a bizarre police investigation after part of a man’s finger was bitten off.

Oklahoma City Police officers were called to a gas station near West Reno Avenue on Thursday evening.

Callers told police Manuel Lopez was running around the area naked.

Police said Lopez and the victim got into a fight outside of the gas station and Lopez eventually caught the victim’s finger in his mouth and would not let it go.

“The man was unclothed during that altercation at some point. The suspect bit the victim’s finger off,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk with OKCPD.

Police said Lopez approached the victim while naked and the victim told Lopez to leave, but he instead jumped on him.

“This was an unprovoked attack,” said Quirk. “It doesn’t appear that they knew each other.”

The police report states Lopez and the victim were “tussling” before several people attempted to pull them apart.
