North Myrtle Beach to host Christmas light show, other holiday events

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — The Great Christmas Light Show is returning to North Myrtle Beach, along with a lineup of other holiday activities beginning in late November.

The drive-thru light show features over 2 million lights displayed along a two-mile drive through the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex. The show starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. starting Nov. 25 and going through Dec. 30., with the exceptions of Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Santa’s Village is open Thursday through Sunday from Nov. 29 through Dec. 15 and is at the end of the light show. The village will also be open nightly from Dec. 19-30, but will be closed on Christmas day.

It is $20 per standard car to enter the show when Santa’s Village is closed, and $25 when the village is open. Oversized vehicles are $50 and charter buses are $100.

North Myrtle Beach is also offering other holiday activities, including pet photos with Santa from Dec. 1 to Dec. 14, a city Christmas tree lighting on Dec. 3, and a Christmas parade on Dec. 7.
