NAMPA — The Nampa School Board Zone 3 seat is now vacant as of Thursday evening.
Trustee Jason Su resigned from his seat, citing that his family will be moving out of his zone.
“I want to thank all of you for your support over the last year. Your work for the students of Nampa is truly inspiring,” Su wrote in his resignation letter to the board. “I want to thank everyone who supported my appointment to this seat. Without you, none of this would have been possible.”
Su was appointed to the board in the fall of 2023, filling a vacancy. He has since participated in major decisions for the district, voting on items including school closures and schedule changes.
With Su’s resignation, the board will be accepting applications for a replacement. Applications are due by noon on Jan. 13 and are currently linked in the board’s agenda on the Nampa School District’s website, nsd131.org.
