Third suspect arrested for E. 26th St. homicide, one still at large

Erie police have arrested a third suspect in relation to a beating that left one man dead at the end of October.

Police have conducted many interviews over the past several weeks since this happened and now, they’re nearing the end of their search for those responsible.

Despite these three arrests made in this case, one suspect remains at large.

Four people have now been charged in the killing of a 31-year-old man who police and the Erie County Coroner said was beaten to death.

An investigation to find those responsible has been ongoing since the killing happened on October 30 and now police said they believe these suspects were responsible.

“Two of those individuals were in custody up until Thursday morning. Thursday morning our SWAT team conducted an operation and apprehended an individual who was also wanted for this homicide. That brings the total to now three individuals that have been arrested for this homicide, but we are still seeking out one other,” said Rick Lorah, deputy chief of Erie police.
