The Upper Room of Erie is once again gearing up for an annual fundraiser to help the homeless in our community.
Blizzard of Blankets returns Saturday from 9 a.m. Until noon at St. Paul’s Church at 1024 Peach Street.

The Upper Room is asking for the community to donate clean, or gently used blankets and other winter clothing and gear.
All you need to do is pull up in your vehicle in front of the church, and volunteers will collect your donations.

“It helps keep all of the homeless people warm because they’re out on the streets and out in the weather more than we are. We all have cars and such. It really helps them a lot to make it through the cold season,” said Kenny Fuller, manager of operations for the Upper Room of Erie
Blizzard of Blankets is the Upper Room of Erie’s oldest project starting in 1995. Items collected are handed out to those in need free of charge.
