An independent national nonprofit watchdog group that evaluates how well hospitals across the country perform patient safety measures has given Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center an “A” rating in its fall 2024 survey.
The hospital was also honored for what was termed its dedication to critical care as a five-star recipient for the treatment of sepsis and respiratory failure.
“Patient safety is and has always been a top priority for our hospitals, and we are very proud of our team members who remain committed to the health and wellbeing of our patients,” said Mark Slyter, president and CEO of Dignity Health East Valley.
A second Dignity hospital, Mercy Gilbert, also was nationally commended as a leader in cardiology by Healthgrades, a company that provides information about hospital and health care providers to help patients make decisions regarding their care.
“As the East Valley continues to grow, so does the importance of access to expert cardiology care,” said Slyter.
