West Valley Symphony will present free holiday concert in Glendale

The West Valley Symphony is bringing a holiday concert to Glendale.

The free public concert, “Sounds of the Season,” is coming to the auditorium at Midwestern University, 19555 N. 59th Ave., with a 2 p.m. matinee show on Saturday, Dec. 7.

The concert is open to all residents and will feature timeless songs for the holiday season. The program will include traditional favorites such as Tyzik’s arrangement of “Behold the Lights” and selections by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, and Vaughn-Williams among others.

The West Valley Symphony, which has provided live classical music for more than 50 years, is conducted by Nicholas Ross.

Seating is available for “Sounds of the Season” on a first-come, first-served basis. While admission is free, guests must RSVP at https://www.midwestern.edu/SoundsoftheSeason by Sunday, Dec. 1.
