A modern ‘micro city’: This massive Boca Raton campus is seeing strong momentum

Progress is underway at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, the 1.7-million-square-foot office park that used to house IBM operations decades ago.

The BRiC site, located at 5000 T-Rex Ave. between Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard, is poised to become a “vibrant mixed-use community,” according to Boca Raton city documents, with many tenants moving in.

The massive site could see a significant overhaul — the campus further growing as a village with a town-like atmosphere.

The CP Group, the organization behind the project, this week spoke with the South Florida Sun Sentinel about the future it envisions for the location. BRiC is a “micro city, a city within a city in Boca Raton,” said Giana Pacinelli, CP Group’s director of communication.

It does have the potential to further evolve. “The hopes with our future, the development plans for the campus, we’re hoping to just continue, to maintain that momentum,” she said, primarily referring to the recent tenants BRiC has acquired.

Pacinelli said she couldn’t say whether plans have changed since January 2023. That’s when CP Group presented plans to the Boca Raton City Council , with a vision for one day offering:
