HOUSTON, TX – A fatal crash involving an older Corvette and an 18-wheeler occurred early Saturday morning on 288 Southbound, between Almeda Genoa and Beltway 8. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. According to witnesses, the Corvette was traveling at a high speed when it failed to avoid the 18-wheeler, colliding with its rear. The impact pushed the Corvette into the center median divider wall, where it came to a stop.
