GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) – The Ashbrook Greenwave held the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans in check all night in the first round of the NCHSAA 3A state playoffs, winning 24-7 at home. This win sets up a big conference rivalry rematch between Ashbrook and South Point in the second round. The Greenwave won the first meeting 17-14 in the regular season.
