Sundance Head Recovering After Ranch Shooting

Additional Coverage:

Sundance Head, the 2016 winner of “The Voice,” has been hospitalized after an accidental shooting at his Texas ranch.

The incident occurred when Head, who is also known as Jason Head, was attempting to secure a gun in a holster. The weapon slipped and discharged into his stomach area.

Fortunately, the bullet missed any vital organs and Head is expected to make a full recovery. His wife, Misty, provided updates on his condition via Facebook, expressing gratitude to the Good Samaritan who assisted and the medical professionals who responded promptly.

Misty revealed that the bullet lodged in Head’s fatty tissue, and his larger size proved advantageous in minimizing internal damage. The family has expressed their appreciation for the prayers and support they have received.

Head initially gained recognition on “American Idol” in 2007, where he shared his connection to his famous father, singer Roy Head. He later triumphed in “The Voice” in 2016, becoming the winner of Blake Shelton’s team.
