Task force will have sobriety checkpoints in Louisville Saturday night

Stark County sheriff’s deputies and law enforcement officers in the OVI Task Force will have sobriety checkpoints starting at 7 p.m. Saturday in Louisville, the sheriff’s office said in a statement Saturday morning .

The checkpoints will be in the 1100 block of West Main Street, starting at 7 p.m., and the 1000 block of North Chapel Street, starting at 9:30 p.m.. Deputies and officers will look for signs that drivers are impaired from alcohol or drug use.

The sheriff’s office is encouraging those consuming alcohol to designate someone who’s not consuming alcohol to drive them or find another arrangement so they’re not driving.
