Another week, another disappointing result for Utah as they have now lost six-straight games, with their latest loss coming at the hands of 17th-ranked Colorado who continue their hot streak in pursuit of a Big 12 Championship appearance.
Utah opened the scoring with a field goal, but back-to-back touchdowns from the Buffs saw them take the lead and not give it up for the rest of the game.
The Utes put up two more field goals in the second quarter, but with another touchdown put on the board by Colorado, the score was 21-9 heading into the half.
Colorado opened the third with a touchdown, but Isaac Wilson connected with Dorian Singer for a 40-yard bomb over Travis Hunter for Utah’s first touchdown of the game, bringing the score to 28-16 heading into the fourth quarter.
Prime and Co. continued their offensive momentum into the fourth as they once again opened the final quarter with a touchdown, but the Utes answered back with a touchdown pass to their near-unstoppable red zone target Caleb Lohner. However, that’s where the scoring ended for the Utes as the Buffs answered back with two touchdowns to end the game with a final score of 49-24.
