A mediation conference and plea hearing are scheduled on consecutive days for an Emporia man charged with a fatal crash in Johnson County from this past spring. Johnson County District Court has a mediation conference Dec 10 and a plea hearing Dec 11 in the criminal case against Jason Eli Brumley, who was originally charged with involuntary manslaughter-driving under the influence after he allegedly crashed into another vehicle near Interstate 35 and Sunflower Road. Last month, prosecutors added two counts of aggravated battery in the case.
