Rent Strike Stalemate: Evictions loom as KC tenants demand new ownership

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Tenants of a Downtown Kansas City apartment complex say they will not pay rent until their landlords make much-needed renovations to their buildings. “Don’t pay rent,” is the message from members of the Quality Hill Towers Tenants Union on the 45th day of their rent strike, Friday, Nov. 15.
