LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Lexington-Fayette Animal Care and Control (LFACC) rescued seven dogs in Lexington over multiple days last week.
On Saturday, LFACC wrote on Facebook that officers responded to a “heartbreaking” report last week from a concerned citizen who reportedly said that a “car full of dogs” had been abandoned in an industrial area of Lexington.

“After several days of searching, our team safely rescued seven young dogs of various breeds and ages,” LFACC wrote on Facebook. “While we’re relieved these pups are now safe, trust us…not all abandoned animals are so lucky.”
Animal control officers urged Lexington community members unable to care for their pets to make arrangements to ensure they are properly cared for.
